About Tiff (Tiffany) Shieh

As a recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser, I know how hard it is to boldly share your voice, in a world that often drowns it out.

But with a little trust, creativity, and practice, expressing yourself is more than possible.

As the quiet daughter of separated Taiwanese immigrants, I grew up in a household filled with sadness and anger, with a single mother and an older sister doing their best amidst the chaos.

From a young age, I learned to suppress my own needs to care for others, believing that following cultural expectations and societal pressures would eventually prove my worth.

These experiences shaped my path — from studying psychology and science at UCLA to spending 7 years in the corporate world.

I worked in consulting and at Grammarly, a communication startup that grew into a multi-billion-dollar company.

My time at Grammarly taught me the power of empathetic, effective communication as I managed a team of 200+ freelance editors, leading initiatives in community engagement, user research, performance analytics, and more.

Throughout this time, I advocated for others in social impact spaces, including the homeless population and survivors of sexual assault.

It took me years to realize that, much like in my childhood, I hadn’t been advocating for myself.

After much reflection and experimentation — including a powerful few months with my own coach — I left my 6-figure career to follow my love for working deeply with others and supporting their growth in meaningful ways.

Now, as a Certified Life Coach, I support others in amplifying their inner voice, boldly advocating for what they want, and creating lives they truly love.

I’ve been trained by an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited program and am continuing to grow as a coach and person in an immersive 1-year training program.

Outside of coaching, I love being in creative and healing-focused community spaces, and all forms of storytelling.

As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), I prioritize my peace through meditation, writing, running, and yoga. I’ve called Brooklyn, New York, home for 4 years, and enjoy visiting family and friends in California.

Scholarship spots are a permanent part of my offering to make coaching more accessible.
